3. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years 

Maximum Age: 25 years as on 1 July 2025 

Relaxations as per rules (SC/ST, OBC, Ex‑servicemen etc.) 

Educational Qualification

Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board. 

For certain posts (bandsmen, drivers, etc.), Class 11 pass may be considered in specific cases (for wards of serving / retired Delhi Police personnel) 

Additional Requirements (for male candidates)

A valid LMV driving licence (for car / motorcycle) is required at the time of Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE & MT). Learner’s licence is not acceptable.

4. Physical Standards & Tests

Physical / Measurement Tests (PE & MT)

These tests are qualifying in nature. Candidates will be tested on physical standards like height, chest (for males), and endurance tests like running, long jump, etc. 

Typical minimum standards (provisional – may vary in official notification): 

Male: Height ~ 170 cm (may have relaxations for hill areas or for ST, special categories) 

Female: Height ~ 157 cm (with relaxations for certain categories) 

Chest expansion (for males): e.g. 81–85 cm (with minimum expansion)

5. Selection / Examination Process

The selection will be conducted in multiple stages:

1. Computer‑Based Examination (CBE / CBT)

Objective test in online mode. 

2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE & MT)

Candidates who qualify in CBT will undergo the physical tests. 

3. Document Verification

After clearing the above, candidates’ documents will be verified. 

4. Medical Examination

Finally, medical fitness in government hospital as per norms. 

5. Merit List / Final Selection

Based on performance in CBT (subject to passing PE & MT and Medical).

6. Pay Scale / Salary

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level‑3 of the pay matrix. 

The salary range is approximately ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 plus allowances. 

7. Application Fee

For General / OBC / EWS: ₹100 

For Women, SC, ST, Ex‑servicemen: Fee is exempted / waived 

Payment can be made through online modes (net banking, UPI, debit/credit cards etc.) before the fee deadline.

8. Other Posts / Recruitment (Head Constable etc.)

Besides the Constable recruitment, there is also a Head Constable (Ministerial) recruitment for 509 posts in 2025.

Educational Qualification: 12th pass 

Age: 18 to 25 years (with relaxations) 

Typing speed requirement: 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi
